BRERA Soria

This inventory is a collection of data, which allows us to create a transparent and efficient monitoring system, where it can be viewed through an application and web platform. Its purpose is for citizens to have access to data related to biodiversity and green spaces in Soria, to contribute to collecting new data, and for public organizations to know their status. The platform allows you to view actions carried out, growth of species, state of biodiversity or urban trees in real time, for example, providing georeferenced information on plant species and fauna in the city.

BRERA - Wellbeing, Restoration, Resilience and Adaptation is awareness, commitment and action against climate change. BRERA deploys in Soria the largest transformation carried out for the recovery and restoration of the different ecosystems that coexist in the urban environment, increasing the green infrastructure network and its biodiversity, improving adaptation to climate change, its habitability, mitigating extreme temperatures, improving the water cycle or generating healthy natural spaces.

Citizen science is a collaborative approach in which non-scientists actively participate in scientific research, helping scientists and technicians by collecting data and making observations. This may involve things like counting birds in an area or using an app to record information about plants. The idea is that citizens can help in scientific research, not just technicians and researchers, and thus learn more about the world around us, in a collaborative way.
