PUBG Mobile continues its evolution with the arrival of version 4.0 Beta, available for players to experience all the new features firsthand before the official launch. This update adopts a paranormal and spooky theme perfect for the Halloween season, incorporating numerous items, abilities, and stages that reflect a terrifying atmosphere.

New theme mode: Spooky Soiree
The focal point of the new themed mode in Beta 4.0 is the Magic Mirror Castle, which evokes the atmosphere of Dracula's Castle from past updates, but with substantial improvements. Surrounded by thick bushes and massive waterfalls, it offers plenty of cover options during firefights. The green-tinged sky contributes to the eerie atmosphere. This classic mode is called Spooky Soiree.
Inside the castle, you'll find royal boxes and secret chambers that provide valuable items and special abilities. Additionally, you can obtain items like Ghostly Cakes and a friendly spirit companion named Ghosty. This companion will assist you in multiple aspects of the game, such as reviving downed teammates or automatically healing you during combat using his magic mace, even while running or shooting.
Supernatural abilities to dominate the game
In the Magic Mirror Castle, you'll also discover supernatural entities that grant you special powers. By opening spooky boxes, you can unlock abilities like the Ghost Balloon or the Magic Shield. You can have up to three primary abilities and four or five secondary abilities, and you can upgrade abilities by using duplicates in your backpack.
- Ghost Balloon: With this ability, Ghosty turns into a large hot air balloon that lifts you through the air for a few seconds, making quick travel easier.
- Magic Shield: Transforms Ghosty into an energy shield with 3000 health that blocks bullets and explosions, and can even push enemies out of the way.
Secondary abilities include running faster, with Ghosty propelling you like a jetpack, and the ability to detect the location of enemies (the latter can only be used once per ability).
New special vehicle: The Magic Broom
As part of the paranormal experience, the Magic Broom is introduced, a two-player flying vehicle that can reach high speeds and has a turbo that generates great power, although it comes with the risk of the rear passenger losing balance and falling, so it's important to hold on tight.
Enjoy the Graveyard Rock Revue
Want some music from beyond the grave? Visit the Graveyard Rock Revue to enjoy concerts by talented ghosts, accompanied by an unconventional audience. Don't forget to collect your rewards after the show and use the function to summon ghostly performers for extra bonuses.
Collaborations and special events
PUBG Mobile has teased new collaborations, including an anime-themed one, special events for the Mid-Autumn Festival and exclusive holiday celebrations, as well as luxury vehicle collaborations. These will be revealed after the official launch of version 4.0.
Improvements to classic mode
The 4.0 beta update also introduces improvements to Classic Mode:
- Carnival on Lipovka Beach: A new look with a carnival full of attractions and a giant Ferris wheel on the seashore.
- New weapon – Mortar: Ideal for long-range combat, it allows you to eliminate hidden enemies within a radius of approximately 200 meters, enhancing competitive play and esports.
- More realistic reloading: Improved animations during weapon reloading that increase immersion in the game.
Visual and sound updates
The visual and sound effects have been updated to complement the new features and enhance the terrifying atmosphere. From energy fields to flight effects and transformations, everything contributes to a more immersive and intense experience.
