CVD Risk Score

The CVD (Cardiovascular Disease) Risk Score has been modified from the Coronary Risk Chart which was originally proposed by the European Society of Cardiology, European Atherosclerosis Society, European Society of Hypertension, International Society of Behavioural Medicine, European Society of General Practice/Family Medicine, European Heart Network, and European Heart Society in 1998. After modification, it has been validated and found quite reliable in the prediction of cardiovascular events (stroke, heart attack, and death) in the 10 years cohort study of the asymptomatic Thai Air Force officers. The results have been published in medical literatures: Asian Heart Journal (2012; 120:1-11) and Bangkok Med J (2017;13:1-12).

By filling gender, age, systolic blood pressure, blood sugar, lipid profiles, history of smoking, family history of premature atherosclerosis, sudden cardiac coronary death, and elevated lipid in family members, then click on the calculation and the 10-year risk of having CVD events is projected in three classes: low, intermediate, and high risk groups.
