Car Rims Design

The number of designs of the car rim bars is not much different from the number of alloy wheels ever made. Every time a wheel manufacturer releases a series of rims, there will always be a unique feature in the design.

The most famous alloy design:

-5 spokes (Cross 5)

Perhaps, this is the most famous and classic design of the car alloy bars. It is very easy to find a car with barrier wheels 5. The variations in design are also very numerous, ranging from star patterns, thick bars, to turbine / fan patterns.

- 6 spokes (Cross 6)

Car rims with 6 wheels are also commonly found. For example, on the Tokyo alloy wheels from Rays Volk Racing. Like the 5 spokes design, the 6 cross design is also commonly applied to the default alloy wheels.

- Diamond spoke (diamond / diamond pattern)

Another term that might be better known is mesh design. A distinctive feature of this design consists of a large number of sloping fingers that cross each other to form a diamond pattern. This pattern is also called a net / web pattern. Another variation for there is a wheel design that forms the letter Y.

- Split-spoke

Split-spoke means a separate crossbar. This design is also called double spoke or twin spoke. For example a design called 5 split spoke, means that the car alloy has 10 bars which in principle apply the cross pattern 5. It is quite easy to know a wheel has a split design or not. If there are two bars that are close together and the pattern keeps repeating throughout the bar, the alloy wheels are split in design. S

- Multi-spokes

Progress in casting technology and the use of alloy materials on alloy wheels allow the appearance of car rims with more than 5 bars. Starting from the 7, 10, even up to 18 or 20 bars. In terms of function, the number of bars reinforces alloy wheels. The multi-spoke design is pretty much found in the top brands.
