CatsMe – Cat Pain Detector AI

CatsMe! is an app that uses the world's most advanced AI to assess and determine the likelihood of pain in your cat based on facial photos.

You can note and record the assessment results along with health information, allowing you to track your cat's well-being while keeping a daily log of your time together. The app also offers numerous features to easily manage your cat's health!

AI-based Pain Expression Assessment

In this app, you only need to upload a photo of your cat's face, and a specialized AI will determine with over 95% accuracy whether your cat is showing a pain expression.

*You can take a photo within the app or upload an image from your camera folder.

This app's AI was developed through a joint research effort between Carelogy Inc. and Nihon University's College of Bioresource Sciences (Department of Veterinary Medicine), in collaboration with the Animal Pain Research Association.

The AI was trained using approximately 6,000 images of cat faces, categorized by experts based on the "Feline Grimace Scale" published by the University of Montreal in Canada.

Since the release of the web version in May 2023, it has been used by over 240,000 people worldwide (as of the end of May 2024), and these assessment images have also contributed to improving the AI's accuracy.

As of June 2024, the accuracy (tested using clinical image data to determine if the pain expression is present or not) exceeds 95%, and it is expected to improve further in the future.

Save Assessment Results to a Calendar

The assessment results can be saved to a calendar along with notes.

Typical management items such as health conditions and urination can be easily recorded with simple checks.

This tool is often used to explain to veterinarians when saying, "It started from this time and...".

AI Analysis of Recent Calendar Save Results

On the My Page, there is a function where the AI analyzes and summarizes the assessment records (including notes) of the past two weeks.

We hope this contributes to smoother communication with veterinarians.

Various Campaigns Related to Cat Health

We hold stamp rallies where you can collect stamps each time you save an assessment result and issue CatsMe! points that can be exchanged for convenient goods.

We also regularly conduct quiz campaigns related to cats.
