** *brute: make your homescreen yours**

brute replaces your default home screen with something quieter. It's a minimal launcher that stays out of the way and puts what matters on one screen.

Your phone should look yours. Every theme is fully editable, and you can export your look and share it. Custom themes and premium supertiles are a one-time unlock. No subscriptions.

**Customisation.** Fonts, colors, sizes, spacing, opacity, corner radius, blur. Save your look as a theme.

**Widgets.** Calendar, agenda, month view, weather, plus your system widgets, on the home screen (and more to come).

**Supertiles.** Live tiles for weather, clock, music, battery, calendar, steps and more. A few more are unlockable through in-app payments.

**RSS reader.** Follow any feed, with a clean full-article view and on-device translation - Your feed selection - no endless scroll.

**Universal search.** Apps, contacts, settings, the web on the same bar.

**Weather.** Free Open-Meteo forecasts. No API key or sign-up.

**Quick toggles.** Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, flashlight, airplane mode, from the home screen.

**Well-being.** Screen time per app, so you can build a home that helps you use the phone less. Black and white toggle. Features that help you use your apps less.

**Your wallpaper.** Use your photos with customisable day/night modes.

**Gestures.** Swipe up or down for actions you choose.

**Privacy**

*brute doesn't run analytics and doesn't require an account. Your data is yours. RSS and weather fetch only what you ask for. Translation runs on-device. Contacts and calendar never leave the phone. A few toggles need system permissions, which are explained in the app.

Accessibility service

*brute uses Android's Accessibility service for three optional features:

• Lock the screen with a gesture

• Show the focus screen when you open a rationed app from outside brute — from recents, a notification or a link

• Switch selected apps to black & white

*brute reads only the package name of the app currently in the foreground. It never reads the content of your screen, never reads what you type, and none of this is collected, transmitted or shared — nothing leaves your device.

The service is off by default. brute asks before enabling it, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility.
