How far could you fly in a gas guzzling airplane? Find out with Guzzly Plane! Guzzly Plane is a simple and fun arcade game on the surface, but underneath features the most realistic 2D flight model on the Google Play Store.

THE GOAL

Fly as far as you can before your fuel runs out! Points are not counted for distance traveled on the ground during takeoff or otherwise. To win, you must land safely and come to a complete stop. If you land too hard or without your landing gear, you will crash and all your hard work will be for nothing!

THE CHALLENGE

Guzzly Plane is as realistic as flight can be in a 2D virtual world, so be prepared for a challenge! Be careful not to stall or overstress your plane as you fly. Underlying details such as simulated throttle delay and T-tail behavior add to the realism and present unique challenges. It is up to you to take off and land successfully for your score to be counted!

HOW TO PLAY

Take control of the aircraft's angle of attack using buttons to pitch the aircraft up and down. You also have access to the plane's throttle, flaps, spoilers, and landing gear! Watch out for birds as you play. A birdstrike will halve your score, which means the higher your score the more points you lose. With a little luck you may come across a refueling plane. Fly up to the fuel nozzle and grab a little extra to go even farther! Tap the question mark button during play if you have any trouble.

THE FLIGHT MODEL

Guzzly Plane's flight model uses real equations and atmospheric and aircraft data to model flight in realtime. All playable aircraft use data taken from their real-life counterparts so that they fly just as they would in the real world. Guzzly Plane takes all forces into account and nearly everything that can affect them, from simple lift and gravity all the way to parasite and lift-induced drag. Linear, hyperbolic, and cubic equations allow Guzzly Plane to calculate lift and drag coefficients based on AoA and required thrust multiple times per second at your position in-game as you play. Using all of this and much more, Guzzly Plane offers a truly unique 2D flying experience in a simple, fun and educational game format. The flight simulation model will constantly be improved through updates.
