Code Mortal Kombat 1: MK 1 Arcade

The game is a response from Midway to Capcom and his hit fighting game Street Fighter : The World Warrior, which has spawned many games in the same style. However, they used a different game system, which was used in all subsequent games until Mortal Kombat 1 mk 1.

Mortal Kombat is an arcade fighting game Developed & published by Midway in 1992, unlike Street Fighter and his drawings by hand, Mortal Kombat's animation is composed of digitized images (from filmed sequences of actors performing the different movements) which gives a rather unusual rendition: the graphic design of characters is very thin, their animations are fluid but do not always chained perfectly (defect inherent in the technique used). Only the animation of the sub-Boss required the use of the technique called stop-Motion.

The player has, in addition to a multidirectional 8-way cross, 5 action buttons: High Kick, Low Kick, High Punch, Low Punch, and Block (a stab). If the two characters are in close combat, face to face, the actions are different; for example, a Low Punch turns into a broom splash. It's the same with the other shots.

Special moves are made by holding a direction while pressing an attack button. It is in this way that certain blows are possible,Mortal Kombat 1 mk 1 like the uppercut, the most powerful blow. Specific moves require a combination of shots executed quickly. The manipulations, just like the effect produced, differ for each character.

The game has maintained a scoring system similar to other combat games, namely a system based on successful hits, the mini game Test Your Might and other bonuses.
