The exhibition "ELEA: THE RE-BIRTH" at the Archaeological Park of Velia tells the origin of Elea and its community.

Elea is not a city like any other. His life begins under the sign of war, with the siege and abandonment of Phocaea, with the diaspora of a community that is facing a profound crisis.

The story of the birth of Elea, of the re-birth of its inhabitants who fled slavery and submission, is a story as ancient as it is current, of exiles, conflicts and relationships, oaths, betrayals and innovations, which takes the form of people, land and in the structures of Elea.
