Dvorec

The village is located in the Bánovský spur of the Nitra Loess Hills. The cadastral neighbors of the village are Malé Chlievany to the north, Dolné Držkovce to the northwest, Haláčovce to the south, and Veľké Chlievany to the east. The village extends to the southwest of Bánoviec nad Bebravou, at a distance of 3 km. Part of the village is the Silesian settlement under Vysoký háj, which is 1 km away from Dvorec and oriented to the northwest. The Silesian settlement has been the cadastral territory of Dvorec since the beginning of its settlement. The mention of the first inhabitants comes from 1927. The name of the area arose from the origin of the first settlers, who came from the Czech-Polish border - Silesia. Today, 66 residents live in the settlement. The Inovec stream flows through the village, originating under the nearby Inovec, in the Jarabinský studienok part, while it drains the eastern slopes of Považské Inovec. The area of ​​the village is one of the smallest in the Bánovec region. The cadastral territory of the village occupies an area of ​​266 ha. Arable land has the largest share in the cadastral territory. The altitude of the center of the village is 210 m above sea level.
