The official application of the village
The village of Horný Pial is located 15 km southwest of the district town of Levice as the crow flies. It is adjacent to the cadastres of Lok, Bajka, Dolný Pial, Beša, Iňa and Jesenské Údolie. The highest point of the village is the historical chapel on the southern side (208 m above sea level) and the lowest point is located near the village of Bajka (166 m above sea level). The village of Horný Pial is located on the eastern slopes of the Pohron Hills on the terraces of the Hron River. The surface of the cadastre is only slightly hilly and sloping towards the east. The surface of the deforested area consists of Tertiary deposits with a layer of loess. It has black soil and brown soil.
