PROTOCOL Z: ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE OUTBREAK SIMULATOR

Every apocalypse starts with a bite.

Protocol Z is a sandbox zombie apocalypse simulator set in New Hudson, a living coastal town with a cargo harbour, a hospital, a police station, a fire station, a military base and hundreds of homes. Every resident has a name, a family, a job and a daily routine. Then the zombie outbreak begins, and you decide how the apocalypse ends.

A LIVING TOWN BEFORE THE APOCALYPSE

Every house holds a real family. Parents leave for work at 4 AM, kids go to school, and people drive their own cars along real roads. Police officers, firefighters, doctors, hazmat crews, mechanics, harbour crews and soldiers all come from the town's own households, so when the zombie outbreak hits, the people defending New Hudson are the townspeople themselves. Adjust the share of every job and see how it changes the town's chances in the coming apocalypse.

UNLEASH THE ZOMBIE OUTBREAK

Start a zombie outbreak anywhere and watch the infection spread from bite to bite until a quiet town becomes a zombie apocalypse. The fallen rise again as zombies that still look like the people they were: your neighbour, the police officer, the soldier. Special zombies charge through walls, climb onto car roofs, smash through windows and break down doors. Zombie hordes hunt the living street by street as the outbreak grows.

THE TOWN FIGHTS BACK

The outbreak simulator brings every service to life. Police make arrests and lock suspects in the cells. Fire crews unroll hoses, fight burning buildings and rescue trapped residents. Ambulances rush the bitten to the hospital. Hazmat crews bag the dead and burn them before they can rise. Soldiers patrol the base and build barricades piece by piece. Every responder is a real resident on shift, and if the zombies reach them, nobody is coming.

GOD MODE APOCALYPSE SIMULATOR

Play god over the outbreak. Spawn humans, zombies, special infected, vehicles and buildings. Use God Powers to start fires, change the weather and unleash tsunamis, or use Purge powers to wipe out the infected. Pause, speed up or slow down time. There's no wrong way to play this zombie apocalypse simulator.

BECOME A SURVIVOR

Pick any resident and BECOME them. Survive the zombie apocalypse in first person with pistols, rifles, SMGs, rocket launchers, C4 and flamethrowers. Drive cars, police cruisers, fire engines, ambulances and armored trucks, or fly helicopters into the heart of the outbreak. Press F to open doors, shut them behind you, and hold out while the zombies pound on the walls.

DESTROY EVERYTHING

New Hudson is fully breakable. Ram through walls, blow buildings apart with rockets and C4, and watch roofs cave in and debris rain down. Fire spreads from building to building. Fences, doors and barricades give way to a big enough zombie horde, and every wall you break is a new way in for the apocalypse.

MULTIPLAYER ZOMBIE OUTBREAK

The host plays god over the zombie outbreak while friends join as survivors in first person. Escort them to safety, or send every zombie in New Hudson after them.
