STROKE-ER Rapid Evaluation Too

Currently, most ERs have a myriad of conflicting 'pathways' and guidelines and 'teams' and 'protocols', but it all comes down to the moment when you as the treating physician is standing in front of the patient trying to make a simple YES or NO decision.

And to make that YES or No decision, the most important thing is to be able to consider all of the data that MUST be considered before making the decision. And no one can dispute that the amount of data that must be processed and taken into consideration before making a decision is fairly extensive. Inevitably,

when the ER is busy, much of this gets overlooked or glossed over or simply not looked at.

The objective of STROKE-ER is simple. It enables you to enter all the pertinent data that is required to make a balanced decision,

without overlooking anything. Data input is fast and intuitive and you can do it all on your android phone. The app then processes this data and gives you a summary that you can review to make sure that the data is accurate and gives you a chance to fill in anything you have overlooked. Then you hit ANALYSIS and the algorithm processes your data and presents you with clear suggestions.

The whole thing should take around 10 minutes. In addition to processing patient eligibility for IV TPA during the 4.5 hr window,

STROKE-ER also processes eligibility for endovascular treatment under the 6-hour window and also processes eligibility under DEFUSE3 and DAWN criteria.
