Geoscry

Geoscrys helps organizations make data-driven decisions by estimating the number of occupants of an area on a map.

Once the user creates a geofence on a map, the app estimates the number of occupants by their devices’ Bluetooth signals and by their GPS coordinates. The app’s proprietary algorithm then projects whether the area may be too crowded. The app does not identify geofence occupants nor sells any data to third parties, however.

For Organizational users, the app also calculates the area’s Maximum Safe Number of occupants, while its color-coded alert system estimates whether the area is Safe, Moderately Safe or At-risk. Users may create a geofence of various pre-set sizes (e.g., 1 acre, 1 block or 1 mile) for a nearby location or one on the other side of the planet. Shape options include circles, squares, and rectangles.

Additionally, premium heat maps emphasize the area’s low-, mid- and high-density pockets.

This app is free to Individual users, but its functionality is limited as they don’t see the Maximum Safe Number of occupants or heat maps. They may upgrade to a paid Organizational account.

Users easily may adjust the standard distance between occupants, using a convenient slider, within a range of 1-20 feet. Users also may adjust the algorithm for data showing that not all devices have Bluetooth enabled.

The app is designed for all types of organizations from corporate and local, state, and federal government to airports, military, and medical.

Geoscry’s name is based on the verb “scry,” which means to foretell the future using a crystal ball or other reflective object or surface.

It's a global app, in English, that works anywhere with Wi-Fi connectivity.
