An App to quickly locate the Glycemic Index and Glylcemic Load of favorite foods
I created this app because, as a type II diabetic, my blood sugar was going on wild swings because I just didn't understand the effects of the Glycemic Load from the food I was eating. The formula for Glycemic Load is the Glycemic Index X Net Grams / 100. I couldn't really find any apps that would let me quickly look up the portion size and Glycemic Load of food, so I created this app. Right now the number of foods is limited, but the app allows me to update the information in real time and keep adding new foods.
