About GPST PRO
GPS data or use it like professional field notebook, calculations and drawing
Enjoy the professional version of the best topography app for Android, light and effective. Ad-free you can use your entire screen to work, ideal for small devices
How many times have you had difficulty drawing the sketch of the area of interest? Does your drawing keep scale? Do you have to redraw later in some CAD software to print your plans? Are you having difficulty drawing the topographic notebook of your plans? Need to check polygon data quickly and only have one Android device?
The app is designed to be the definitive replacement for the pencil and paper topography notebook; 100% offline. Quickly capture points, lines or polygons with the location of your device or enter data from field measurements, by direct measurement or radiation, to calculate the desired area. Export your information in a PDF format with a complete report with all the calculation memory, a TXT file to facilitate the import into other programs and a DXF file with the drawing and the topographic notebook / construction chart, designed to facilitate the printing of drawings from your preferred CAD software
This will make your cabinet work more efficient, saving your valuable time. These files are generated by pressing the "Play" button. The three files are generated within a folder named according to the date and time of their creation, stored within the directory "GPS_Topography_Projects" within its internal storage
In the app menu you can access the file option, where you can save and load your projects, through a powerful database stored on your device. You also have the option to export your polygon to a comma separated CVS file, which is stored in the "GPS_Topography_Exported" folder, inside your device's internal storage.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
GPS SCREEN (default): use your device to easily capture GPS coordinates
1. Upon login, the app will automatically center the screen on your current position, represented by the red date in the center. You can disable / enable automatic centering by pressing the center button
2. Press the screen at the point you want to capture
3. A dialog box will appear allowing you to assign a name to the point in question, and then save it.
4. Repeat the process until you finish entering the points of interest.
5. The menu option “change mode” allows you to switch between point, line or polygon modes.
6. You can capture your position with the “capture current location” option in the menu, designed to measure an area by walking on its edges.
7. Press the "Play" button
SURVEY SCREEN: generate drawing and digital notebook in real time
1. Enter the app menu and select the change screen option
2. A dialog box will appear asking if the start point is part of the end polygon or not. The auxiliary polygon points are not considered part of the final polygon and are plotted in light blue, both in the drawing and in the notebook, to facilitate their visualization in the field.
3. To add a new point press the add point button, in the lower left corner
4. You are prompted to enter whether the line between the station and the observed point is a boundary or a radiation. If it is a boundary, the code of the observed point will be the next correlative of the station, if it is radiation the code will have the format "X.Y" where "X" is the station number and "Y" is the number of radiation made from from station "X"
5. You must also indicate whether this line is part of the final polygon or not. Enter the distance between the station and the observed point in meters and the azimuth in degrees, minutes, seconds, taking north as zero and positive magnitude clockwise. Save your information
6. Once all your points have been entered, press the "Play" button.
