GrayVyne is for those in the education community who are seeking to make a lasting change. GrayVyne believes a change in education needs to be led from the center outward, with learners at the center surrounded by the support of teachers, staff, and administrators along the way. It’s a platform to connect the community and accelerate the adoption of an alternative to the status quo.

GrayVyne enables students to create and share their learning stories. It’s a place to engage with projects that lie at the intersection of passion and purpose where intrinsic motivation and learning stories are developed. If you’ve ever given your students permission to start a project, you’ve likely found it challenging for students to find a project that they care enough about to begin.

The screenshots attached provide a view into the first project plugged into the platform, which GrayVyne calls a ‘Plugin.’ This Fire Drill plugin was created by the education community to improve the fire drill process at elementary schools, and your students can customize this plugin to fit the needs of your community. Give your students the trust and permission they need to implement this project at your school—it’s a great place to begin.

GrayVyne believes most of the hard work and learning occurs after the presentation, where the idea must be implemented in a real community. Doing work students are passionate about, find purpose in, and knowing that someone else is expecting them to implement the idea is the type of responsibility students are searching for. And when they deliver on their idea and make an impact on someone else, that’s when they’ll feel like they matter—and they’ll want to do it again.
