Hadria ECCO

Hadria Ecco is a fun Language Learning Game for children and playful adults.

Entertaining and slightly quirky animation films in several languages are the starting point for sentences and words the children are invited to read and write later on. Connected to every movie are 6 spelling tasks in 3 different difficulty levels. Each of these levels are rewarded with a swimming fish in an aquarium when the mission is completed.

Hadria Ecco also has got a lot of talking exercises connected to Google API, which makes perfecting the pronunciation of the new words and sentences easier. Completing these tasks are also rewarded with habitants for the fish tank.

Very small children are often using the game by imitating the characters in the movies, school starters quickly improves their reading and writing-skills, while older users are focusing on the pronunciation and the possibility to increase their vocabulary and make comparisons between the languages they are working on. Lella, however, he is able to tolerate.

All icons are meant to be intuitively understandable, words and letters are consciously not been used in the menus, in order to make the games accessible for everybody, regardless of age and literacy.

We strive to make the translations as close up to each other as possible, without ruining the flow and the natural sentence structure in every language. The pronunciation and the melody of the sentences are some times a bit quirky, but lies within the normal variations of the native speakers. We believe this might help transferring the lessons from the game to "real life".

The characters in the game are the little girl Hadria, that most of the time is living in her own little world with Bear, her best friend. Mum and Dad are physically present, but are often disappearing into their own world, consisting of "Screen and Labour", which Hadria thinks of as an annoying habit. The neighbor old bat Lella is amazingly unaffected by custom and shiny surfaces, and has got no patience with smalltalk. For Hadria Lella is an exiting friend, some times on the edge of being scary, but with a heart of gold. Bear is generally a modest guy, when Mum and Dad are entering the room he is simply fainting.
