Hallux valgus: what to do

The term halus valgus in medical practice is called curvature of the joints of the big toes. This deformity most often develops against the background of flat feet. One of the risk factors is wearing uncomfortable shoes — too tight and with an unnatural rise.

In the early stages, the disease manifests itself as a purely aesthetic defect. In the absence of corrective measures, valgus deformity of the first toe can cause much more serious pathologies: bursitis, arthritis, arthrosis. They, in turn, require long-term complex treatment, and in advanced cases lead to disability.
