HR Sports Council

The Sports Council is the apex sporting body of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. It handles matters concerning augmentation of sports infrastructure, participation and performance of its players. The sporting body aims at promoting fitness, sportsmanship and to provide its players complete support by ensuring an easy and hassle free foundation to participate in multiple sporting events and win laurels for the College. This includes the responsibility of conducting selection trials of various sports and sending the entries of the shortlisted players. The Sports Council works with external sporting bodies like the District Sports Organization and the Mumbai University Physical Education and Sports Department throughout the year to facilitate the said objectives. In addition to this, The Sports Council plays a prominent role in organizing and participating in numerous Intra and Inter-Collegiate events and also plays a vital role in efficiently organizing several college activities.

The Sports Council is important to our players, but it plays a valuable and enriching role in its members’ lives as well. It is a platform that provides each student with the opportunity to try something new and push yourself to step out of your comfort zone. Being a part of the Council as a member facilitates students to pick up soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem solving and a sense of initiative, all of which helps mould them into future leaders.
