Founder Chairman Maratha Sewa Sangh,Shri Purushottamji Khedekar inspired the first comity of directors to set up a co-operative bank and on dated 7th October 2000, on Dasara day, under the chairmanship of Shri Avinash Kothale Jijau Commercial Co-Operative Bank Ltd., Amravati was set up. The purpose to establish the Bank was to financially uplift the common man in general and to divert the youth, women from the deprived class of society towards business, industrial activities etc. in particular. The first Board of Directors was formed with the most qualified and respectable persons from the diverse field of activities. It consists of Engineers, Doctors, Advocates,Businessmen and social workers.
