SensMark -The Sensor Benchmark

SensMark is a benchmark for mobile sensor technologies.

There is not much known regarding the accuracy of inertial sensors of smart phone devices, although it is of great importance for the results and behavior of sensor-based applications. SensMark analyzes the measured sensor data and evaluates it, hence SensMark is able to benchmark the qualification of a sensor for precise measuring.

The SensMark application was developed by Andreas Gabel during his work on his bachelor thesis at the Systems Security chair of Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Germany). In a following research project he worked together with Lennart Lorenz on enhancing the application’s functionality, creating www.sensmark.info and on the evaluation of the acquired results.
