Greece is called Hellas (Greek) and is officially known as the Hellenic Republic or (Elliniki Dimokratia). Greece is located in southeastern Europe occupying the southern most part of the Balkan Peninsula. It borders Albania, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the east.
