Kingsway School App
Kingsway was formed in 1997 to benefit communities in and around its Grade II listed Forest Town base. The building was famously named after a 1914 royal visit from George V and Queen Mary. The initial reason for the charity's formation saw local people get together to save the then derelict premises. Kingsway Community Project was established to have positive community impact. Activities have focussed and run from Kingsway Hall but reach across Mansfield through, for example, youth work outreach, befriending scheme, the former Forest Town Crier which was delivered to over 6,000 homes and businesses across Forest Town and the over 50s' Resource Centre for which we were the Mansfield base.
