In addition to classic personal networking opportunities, the VAK e.V. association also wanted to create a platform on which people could exchange ideas quickly and directly. In this way, we guarantee an even higher level of togetherness and loyalty to the association network. In the growing digitalization in particular, a member portal is an extended opportunity to exchange ideas with one another. With the consent to use the app and the release of the contact details (each member can decide independently which data is released and to whom), a digital path can be added to the previous personal exchange. This primarily means that former acquaintances can network via a new messenger service and information channel, but also that new members can integrate into the network more quickly and also make relevant contacts earlier. This creates a personal VAK address book for each individual user.

The app will contain two main functions: firstly

the messenger service and, on the other hand, the news feeds. The exchange and dialogue is represented by the classic chat function, which, analogous to many other services, also enables group chats (from 2 people). The independent formation of groups or joining groups that are already active promotes joint communication, exchange and dialogue between members on dates, topics or current news. With the new feature of opening their own subject-specific chat groups, the members have the opportunity to enter into a direct exchange on current topics without much effort. In addition, the members are informed ad hoc about the latest news in their working groups. With push notifications, which can optionally be switched on and off, the members are informed immediately and completely. In the same way, members can quickly and easily view information from other working groups and, if interested, be actively informed there about news.

The news feeds, in turn, reflect a classic information service in which each user can freely decide which feed to follow and, accordingly, which information to receive. For both functions there will be a notification function that triggers constant reminders of “news at VAK” and thus indicates active association work. The association is divided into five different working groups in which various member companies are organized. In this way, the association creates a focused and targeted exchange on industry-relevant topics and can also clearly delimit these from one another. This division and addressing of the member companies should also be found in the app. Accordingly, there will be five news feeds, one channel for each working group. This extends the communication between the working group chairpersons in the app and enables information to be shared at short notice on the content discussed from the last meeting. The idea of ​​continuing to use the latest news that affects the entire industry to share from their own everyday work should at some point be lived independently by all participants in the feeds or chat groups. Certainly it will take some time to recognize this feature and the beneficial benefits. The aim is that the start is strongly promoted by the VAK office and then an independent system of information exchange is set up.
