After surveying hundreds of college freshmen, we built Kurtin keeping their thought processes and pain points of school assessment in mind.

Once a college is identified in the application, students learn more through four innovative tools:

1. School Details Slider: There are general questions that arise for almost all students during the college selection process. Most questions center around topics like cost, size, location, and admissions requirements. The School Details Slider gives students snapshots of important decision criteria.

2. Aggregated Social Content Feed: After becoming comfortable with general school stats, students want and need to understand the school’s culture. The Aggregated Social Content Feed allows students to capture, through one single view, key insights associated with a specific school pulled from multiple social media platforms.

3. Interactive Questions Board: Students with specific concerns and questions can pose them through the Interactive Questions Board and hear back from those who have direct experience with the topic.

4. Live Streaming Content: Text and photos are good, but nothing gives a student the feeling of actually being there like video. Universities will have the ability to stream live content directly to students that have shown interest in their institution.
