LACoin

LACoin is an app designed by LAHS students with the goal that every club on campus has a shot at recruiting members for meetings and events. We’ve developed LAcoin to do this in an stress-free and hands-off way.

LACoin works by rewarding students with points after attending club events. In this way, students who earn more points have a bigger chance of winning a prize in the form of a gift card or other small prize.

Who made this?

This is a project produced by students in the LAHS Data Analysis Club. All code is custom-designed.

How do students use LAcoin?

Students can easily register for our app by signing up with an official mvla email, and signing an agreement to be truthful and respectful while using the app. Upon registering, students have the ability to friend others and register for events.

Each event has a button that users click to register. After registering, users wait until the event organizer shares their confirmation code, which the user types in on the Event Page. Users redeem points.
