Lagaw Iloilo

Lagaw Iloilo is a tourism promotion app using the Augmented Reality (AR) and Object Recognition (OR). The researchers chose the famous landmarks in Iloilo City specifically, Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral, Jaro Belfry, Molo Plaza, Molo Church and Iloilo Esplanade. Through Object Recognition, information via Augmented Reality about the mentioned landmarks appear once the user hovers the camera to the landmark through different angles. Additional 3D models of these selected landmarks could be viewed using peso bills. The tourist were recommended as main users of the mobile application.
