Lana-Request a driving session

Lana is an app for newly licensed drivers to build up their driving experience while driving real-world cars. In the driving school, one gets negligible time for actual driving. Lana solves this by connecting you with a car owner, allowing you to take short driving sessions around your home in your free time. You are charged per kilometer covered. This means you can drive a car that you want in a session at a very affordable price.

This app is also for experienced licensed drivers who want to explore the driving feel of a wide range of cars on our platform. It's also for someone who would like to drive a certain car before they buy their own in order to make an informed decision.

How it works:

1.Customer

Once you successfully login into the app, you will be ushered to a map indicating your current location (if location permission has been granted).The first step would be to search for the place where you would like to drive from your current position. Then select whether you want to go to and fro or one way. By default, to and fro is enabled. At this point, we will calculate a price estimate to your destination and check whether you have enough funds for that session; if not, you will be directed to the payments page where you can load your wallet; otherwise, the request driving session button appears. Once you request a session, you will be presented with a list of cars available near you. Once you request it, the car owner on the other side will come and hand the car keys to you to drive. After the end of the session, there is a rating system where you can rate the experience.

2.Partner

If you signed up as someone who owns a car or operates someone's car, you will also access the homepage after authenticating successfully. You will get a notification and see the customer profile on your home page once they request to drive your car. On reaching the location of the customer, make sure they present a valid ID document and license before you hand them the keys to the car. At the end of the session, you can rate the customer and the experience.

Safety:

At Lana, we are committed to the safety of all users on our platform. So long as someone is using our platform, we know their identity and their reputation. Any fraudulent users on the platform will be banned and action taken against them. As a company, we encourage doing all business in the app to prevent fraud that is possible in dealings outside the app. In case of security issues that may arise, we liaise with the government authorities and alert them in cases of suspicious behavior or reports by our users.
