Laser Strike Unlimited

Laser Strike is a space shooter game inspired by the 90s classics. The alien ships will come in waves form top or bottom of the screen at the rhythm of the music. After each level you can upgrade some stats using your score points as credits, but these will be deducted form the final score! There are only 3 levels, average playtime is 8 minutes.

Laser Strike is is not just like any other space shooter. It is a bullet hell where in some situations your only escape is to pass through the laser curtains, and attack enemies from behind.

In Laser Strike there are many different strategies for beating the levels so try a different approach if you don't see that your strategy is working.

I started this project as a personal prototype while I was learning to use Unity following a tutorial course from GameDevTV.

I decided to continue developing the game as a school project, add my own features without looking at a sept by step guide. I used books like Game Programming Patterns and Unity Game Development Cookbook: Essentials for Every Game.

The 2D assets are from Space Shooter Redux on Kenney asset store.
