My name is Cheston Dooley aka "V!RTU", Founder of Latitune! Latitune is conceived by an artist for artists. Latitune takes the money OUT of the game, and puts the talent back IN. This is the tool that I wish I would've had as an active musician. Latitune is the world's first 'music site' that specifically excludes celebrities and record companies. We cater to emerging musicians by making sure that they NEVER have to compete with the big money of the big name artists. If anyone gets TOO popular on Latitune, we'll consider them a celebrity, and we'll be forced to "Graduate" them from the site. This is so the #1 spots always stay open.

Latitune is also the first site to award performance with "badges" that have to be earned. Once a badge is earned it stays on an artists' profile as bragging rights for all to see. Latitune will change the game by going against the industry grain. Instead of shining the light at the top like everyone else does, we cut the top off and expose the fresh talent underneath.

Latitune makes it easy for music lovers to find their new favorite artist. You might be surprised to find that there are talented artists right in your own city. Latitune helps emerging artists build their fan base by "localizing" their demographic until their fanbase grows to the surrounding cities and eventually their entire state; then country, then the entire globe!

Latitune caters to absolutely any genre of music and any location around the world. We even take suggestions for new genres too! This helps create sub-categories that help artists and fans connect to the exact type of music they love to listen to. Latitune is ALWAYS free for artists and music lovers. You can pay to upgrade your account, but a Free account holder can take the top spot just like anyone else. Listeners can also upgrade their accounts for extra features, and a chance to earn "Listener Badges" that must be earned by being an active music lover.
