Long, long before the existence of bills and coins, there were still a form of economy. People simply exchanged items and services with each other. Neighbors also cooporated in a different way than we are used to today. The farmer exchanged services with the fisherman, the fisherman with the blacksmith and so on. If you had a neighbor who was good at making tools, you could trade yourself a tool in exchange for food or whatever you had to offer.

That's how the idea of Let's Swap came about, a contemporary barter place where neighbors and strangers can take advantage of each other's knowledge and each other's things without any money transaction. We are taking it back to what it used to be. We Swap!
