Managed Hosting is an extension of dedicated hosting, day-to-day management.

Managed hosting is an IT provisioning model in which a service provider leases dedicated servers and associated hardware to a single customer and manages those systems on the customer's behalf.

One of those is “managed hosting,” also referred to as managed dedicated hosting, dedicated servers or single tenant hosting. All those names refer to an IT service model where a customer leases hardware — servers, storage and network — from a managed service provider, like Rackspace.
