mdSpeak

For the people who prefer listening to reading.

This application can download an article from the web, throw away the fluff, extract the main text, run it through Android's speech synthesis and save the result as an MP3. You can then play the MP3, share it, or simply leave it for later for offline listening.

*HOW TO USE THE APPLICATION*

1. Open an article in a web browser that you wish to convert to MP3.

2. Tap the sharing button and select mdSpeak as the target application.

3. mdSpeak will download the web page, extract the article text and show it to you for verification.

4. If it looks good, you can tap the "Convert" button to start the conversion to MP3. (This happens in the background and will take some time depending on the length of the text.)

5. A notification will inform you of the conversion progress and result.

You can also share a selected text from any application instead of a web link. Or, if you really want to, you can enter the text manually using the "Enter text manually" menu item.
