memmer

The memmer app provides a way for audio creators to describe and share their sound, and for listeners to search for and find creations they like.

There are two levels of subscription: Listener and Contributing Artist.

Listeners have the ability to search for and listen to other creators' audio. Contributing Artists have the ability to upload and describe their sound, as well as able search for and listen to other creators' audio.

It is very simple to use:

Create a profile.

Search for and listen to music, poetry, language dictionaries, words of inspiration, field recordings.

Artist: you can create a sound you like using whatever app you prefer that outputs mp3 or wav format files. It can be anything: original music, spoken word, sound effect, audiobook, anything. Use memmer's broad categories and text input to describe the sound. You can Include lyrics if you have those.

Once uploaded and described, Listeners and other Artists can search for and listen to audio. Find others to collaborate with, grow your profile by adding links to your website and your other social media. For Artists, memmer can serve as your showcase to your audience and serve as a gateway to your other web-based media.

For Listeners, memmer is a world of sound that they can navigate with a search.

Monthly subscription fees are low and you can earn points for referring others.

What memmer isn't: a place where creators compete for "likes", where rude commenters can sour your day, or where copyright infringement and bullying behavior are tolerated.
