Mike Holloway is a singer/songwriter from Derbyshire in the UK. Mike grew up in a landscape littered with the ghosts of the agricultural and industrial revolutions.

As a boy Mike loved exploring the woodlands and walks scattered and abandoned throughout the peak district. The stories and sounds that feature in Holloway's music often include local tales and folklore.

From the years 2003 to 2012, Pulp's guitarist Richard Hawley recorded a string of albums in a studio in Sheffield being narrowly beaten to a Mercury Music Prize by the Arctic Monkeys (who came from the same studio).

Holloway worked in this studio throughout this period and was able to observe Hawley and other legendary Sheffield musicians writing and recording. This was a tremendous gift and inspiration to Holloway.

In 2015 Mike signed a publishing contract with the Kobolt group and has finished recording his début album. He is working on his second album with some truly amazing Sheffield artists. You can find the official Water Wheel video on YouTube.
