Kendo is one of the oldest Japanese martial arts originating from the Buddhist tradition. in Budo, "do" means a way or way to develop yourself through martial arts training. Kendo not only teaches techniques that are physically shielded, but also teaches the philosophy inherited from Budo. In Kendo we can develop strong souls, positive views and convictions and respect for one another.

The Kendo player uses a flexible bamboo sword (shinai) to hit the target on the opponent's protective clothing.

The first impression of Kendo is noisy, aggressive and loud martial arts. Kendo is a dynamic martial art, but with more learning it will be known that Kendo requires high ability and concentration, elegance and physical dexterity. Students come from various ages.

Kendo training consists of several types of exercises. Each type of exercise has different objectives in developing the Kendoka.

Kendo, like other martial arts, requires discipline and seriousness to train.

Kendoka will begin training by learning basic exercises such as ethics (Reigi), different body poses and footsteps, and how to swing the sword correctly. With training in stages, the kendoka can prepare to start the exercise using bogu. The next exercise will be determined by the instructor, depending on what is focused on the exercise.
