According to language, aurat means shame, disgrace, and bad. The word aurat comes from the word awira which means lost feeling. If it is used for the eyes, it loses its light and disappears. In general, this word gives meaning that is not good to look at, embarrassing and disappointing.

According to the terms in Islamic law, aurat is the minimal boundary of the body part that must be covered by the command of Allah.

Adherents of Islam are very concerned about the dress in two contexts, namely daily clothing for activities inside or outside the home and special clothing worship.

Moslem clothing is a model of clothing that is adapted to the rules of life of adherents of Islam. In the Qur'an is written suggestions and obligations for Muslims in terms of dress. Clothes model closed and all-round long became his trademark. For women, Muslim clothing covers body parts such as hair, neck, hands and feet.
