What are the novenas?

Novena is a gathering for prayers held during the nine days.

It had its origin in the Catholic Tradition. It is usually performed as devotion manifestation of the Almighty God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), or the Virgin Mary, angels and saints.

The number 9 also has a special meaning in Catholic worship, to be equal to the square of 3, this number considered perfect because it is related to the Holy Trinity. So, over the nine days of the novena, praises three times each Divine and Eternal Person.

During the novena dedicated to a time of day to prayer for nine days. Candles are the symbol of faith, but they can be dispensed, depending on where you practice novena. Labor relations and interpersonal need not be avoided, since the Christian routine should not be changed, except for the prayers and devotions.
