To improve stroke patient outcomes by empowering stroke coordinators, stroke nurses, and stroke champions by providing evidence based practice research, quality and data capabilities, current advanced education on care of the stroke patient, allowing national networking and assistance from other stroke dedicated nurses, valued reference for performance improvement initiatives and methodology, guidance for certification and recertification as a stroke center of excellence, and enhanced knowledge of the role of stroke nursing in the stroke team.

The National Stroke Coordinators Network (NSCN) provides its members with high-quality resources and research; networking and professional development opportunities; and standards, ethics, advocacy, and guidance on key issues.
