The ‘O-SMART’ application (acronym stands for Orthodontics, Systematic review, Meta -analysis and Randomized controlled trial) is a android platform application which provide the evidence based literature, International and National practice guidelines and the strongest evidence available for day to day clinical questions pertaining to orthodontics such as slow versus rapid maxillary expansion, molding, indirect versus direct bonding, slot size, self-ligating brackets, non-invasive and invasive acceleration in orthodontics and so on. The application also consists of ‘Monthly knowledge of the week’ section highlighting the current evidence based scientific literatures and directions in relation to most recent and relevant health care emergencies. The section “Oral and Overall health’ consist of resources in connection with impact of oral disease on entire human physiologic system. It is the dynamic platform of ready published references on relevant evidence based scientific guidelines which is updated on weekly basis as new stronger evidence or updated recommendations comes emerge from academically accredited and recognized sources.
