East Java Provincial Government Information and Documentation Management Officer
Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure (KIP) mandates that every Government Public Agency and Non-Governmental Public Agency has an obligation to provide Public Information under its authority to the public in a fast, actual, timely, low cost and simple way. .
On the other hand, the Law on Public Information Disclosure requires the performance of public bodies to be transparent, effective, efficient and accountable. Therefore, public information services must receive serious attention for all of us as a public agency providing information, by improving quality information management and providing services and providing public information that is easily accessible to the public.
For this purpose, every Public Agency is required to appoint an Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID), whose main task and function is to be responsible for the storage, documentation, provision and service of information.
At the level of East Java Province, PPID is established by a Decree of the Governor of East Java and for SKPD Public Bodies within the East Java Provincial Government as PPID Assistants/SKPD are determined by a Decree of the Head of Public Agency/SKPD.
Likewise, at the Regency and City levels in East Java, Regency/City PPIDs are stipulated by a Decree of the Regent or Mayor, while Public Agency/SKPD within the Regency or City Government as Assistant PPID/SKPD are stipulated by a Decree of the Head of Public Agency/SKPD.
