The Mission

Project MemeX is a digital preservation initiative designed to ensure against any permanent loss or damage of historically significant digital cultural artifacts by launching a seriously advanced satellite into lunar orbit, from where it will indefinitely serve as our remote backup memory storage via uplink from our database. In case of a global-scale server outage or crisis on Earth, the satellite will commence its emergency safety protocol and go to “sleep” mode, or until satellite is “woken up” via transmission from mission control.
