Visual color grid that tracks and reveals your daily focus patterns.
PulseGrid is a visual focus tracking tool that helps you understand your daily attention patterns through an interactive color grid.
How it works:
The app presents an 8x8 grid where each small square represents a 15-minute block of your day. After each time segment, tap the corresponding square and select the color that best describes your focus level during that period. Choose from four states: deep focus, light focus, neutral, or distracted.
The grid gradually fills with colors as your day progresses, creating a personal visual map of your attention journey. Each tap triggers a subtle ripple animation, making every recording feel intentional and satisfying.
Key features:
- Simple tap-to-record workflow: tap any empty cell, pick your state, and the cell fills with color instantly
- Long-press on a recorded cell to extend the same focus state to the next empty slot
- Yesterday summary appears when you open the app on a new day, giving you a quick overview of your previous day's rhythm
- After three or more days of use, the app analyzes your patterns and shows personalized rhythm suggestions, highlighting your most productive time windows
- Review mode lets you swipe through past days to compare attention distributions side by side
- Each day's grid includes a summary showing your total recorded slots and the breakdown across all four focus states
Design approach:
The interface uses a warm, minimal aesthetic with evenly spaced cells and subtle card-based elements for information. Colors are limited to the four focus states, keeping the visual experience clean and distraction-free. The app focuses on providing a calm, reflective experience without sounds, vibrations, or intrusive notifications.
All data is stored locally on your device. No account creation, internet connection, or personal information is required to use the app.
PulseGrid is designed for creative professionals, remote workers, students, and anyone who spends long hours in front of a screen and wants a gentle, visual way to become more aware of their attention patterns over time.
