Ramadan is a very special month. The only month mentioned explicitly in the Qur'an (QS. Al-Baqarah: 185). Where it is prescribed in this month are two special acts of worship, namely fasting during the day and doing qiyaam at night.

The Messenger of Allah - shallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam - said: Verily Allah - tabaraka wa ta'ala - has made the fasting of Ramadan obligatory upon you, and has made its qiyam sunnah. So whoever fasts and performs qiyaam in the month of Ramadan on the basis of faith and hopes for a reward from Allah, his sins will be forgiven until he is like a child just born to his mother. (HR. Nasa'i).

In this short treatise, the author will present all the details of the qiyamull lail worship and related services. Where, there are not a few Muslims who cannot distinguish between several types of worship that are prescribed on the nights of Ramadan.
