To scan the QR code or bar code, simply open the application and point the camera towards the icon, and the application will scan it immediately without having to take a picture.

When you read the code, if the code contains the URL of the website, you'll be automatically taken to the site. If your code contains only text, you'll see it immediately. For other formats such as phone numbers, e-mail addresses, or contact information, you will be prompted to take the appropriate action.

The QR Code Reader recognizes all common barcode types (UPC, EAN and ISBN) and shows you pricing, comments, and more about which products you scan. Barcode scanning requires a newer device to work reliably. Cameras on older devices do not provide the accuracy or focus required to scan barcodes.
