QuietSpot, an app for your Android device that recognizes your location, and turns the ringer off while your there, and turns it back on when you leave.

Why can't my "smart"phone know where I am, and remember if I want it to be silent or vibrate at that location? Just as importantly, why can't it remember to turn itself back to LOUD mode with a ringer when I leave?

With the QuietSpot app, your Android smartphone can finally be smart enough to do this for you. QuietSpot uses your smartphone's built in GPS (and our smart technologists have figured out how to make sure using the GPS doesn't run your battery down too fast!) to remember where you want your phone to go silent. If you're like me, there are plenty of places I DO NOT WANT MY PHONE TO RING! Like at an important customer business event. How unprofessional is it to be in an important meeting with an executive only to have your phone start to ring in the middle of that meeting? Just when you were finally getting to that key point, or the customer was beginning to talk, your phone goes off and you have to apologize. You and your prospect's train of thought were interrupted and may not recover. What a lost opportunity, not to mention the financial cost.

How about your place of worship? How many times have you heard either your or another person's phone go off in a worship service, always at the most inappropriate time. Usually some loud inappropriate tune during a memorial service! Talk about embarrassing.
