Find the Nutrition Status of children upto 5 years of age based on WHO Standards.

Nearly half of all deaths in children under 5 are attributable to under nutrition. Under nutrition puts children at greater risk of dying from common infections, increases the frequency and severity of such infections, and contributes to delayed recovery. So it is very important for parents to know nutrition status of their child to save from possible morbidity and mortality due to under nutrition. WHO has published chart to assess nutrition status of child less than 5 years. But it requires some sort of training & skill.This application exempt parents from doing such exercise.

The application captures gender, weight (kg) and Height (cm) of a child.On the basis of this parameters application assesses nutrition status of child as per WHO weight for height chart. It classify nutrition status of child in Severely Acute Malnutrition (SAM), Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Norma category. Child in SAM category requires urgent medical referral. Child in MAM category can be taken care home with nutritious food and continuous supervision.
