Safety Delete – Delete selected files more securely

Safety Delete is an Android secure deletion helper designed to make selected files and files inside chosen folders harder to recover than normal deletion.

Select photos, videos, documents, downloads, work files, or personal folders. Before deletion, Safety Delete changes file contents into unusable data, then requests deletion, adding an extra step beyond ordinary file removal.

Use it before selling a used phone, replacing a device, returning a work phone, or cleaning private files from Android storage.

Why use Safety Delete?

Normal deletion may only remove file references or hide files from view. Depending on the device, file system, and storage structure, some data may still be recoverable. Safety Delete processes selected files first, making the original contents harder to read, then deletes them.

Main features

Select files and folders

Choose files directly or browse storage folders. View selected items with file name, size, path or URI, and file type. Select multiple files at once.

Make files unreadable before deletion

The app changes selected file contents into unusable data before requesting deletion. Large files are handled in buffer units, and flush or sync processing is attempted when possible.

Review before deletion

Check the number of files, total size, estimated time, and recovery warning before starting. Deletion continues only after you confirm that you understand the warning.

Track progress

View the current file, overall progress, completed count, and success/failure count. A Foreground Service helps the task continue even if the app is closed, with progress shown in the notification area.

View results

After completion, review successful and failed items. Failed files include a reason when available.

Android storage access support

Safety Delete supports SAF file selection, Android 13+ media permissions, and All Files Access guidance for Android 11+ when needed. With proper permission, it can scan accessible storage folders directly.

English and Korean support

The app displays Korean by default on Korean devices and English on other devices. You can also switch languages manually with the globe button.

Important notice

Safety Delete is designed to make selected files harder to recover, but it cannot guarantee 100% unrecoverable deletion in every situation. Android security policies may block access to system files, protected app folders, Android/data, Android/obb, or restricted folders. Flash storage behavior, file systems, and device structure may also affect recovery possibilities.

Please confirm that selected files are safe to delete before starting.
