Auto rickshaws and Taxis play an important role of public transport in Mumbai. There are 246,458 black and yellow metered auto rickshaws, often simply called autos, in the Mumbai MMR.There are about 58,000 in Greater Mumbai and 98,566 in Mumbai MMR.

Autos and Taxis can be used efficiently and cost effectively, if they are used on sharing basis. Sharewala provides routes and fares for various destinations at the respective local railway stations.

Sharewala believes in the saying “Sharing is Caring”. Sharing a taxi or an auto can be cost effective solution for commuters. Also, it can also help in reducing traffic problems, air pollution and sound pollution to some extent.
